I am honestly thinking of leaving Tumblr, and here are my reasons why:
So I’m feeling a tad lost lately here on Tumblr. The whole site just feels like one big fandom war zone made up of smaller, but equally vicious, wars within each fandom.
Each one I try to become a part of, I just feel shut down in. The Sherlockians I have respected seem to have become elitists due to ACTUALLY waiting the full year and a half for the new season rather than the shorter wait the newer fans had, which makes me feel a little intimidated by them despite being a fan just as long. The Whovians seem to either become annoyed with Rose/10 shippers, only discuss Classic Who (which I’ve seen, but I prefer the new stuff), or talk about how Moffat has changed the show in ways they don’t like; none of which I care to take part in. Potterheads and Ringers seem to have all melted into other fandoms with their crossovers and such (more-so Potterheads, but you get my point). Anime fans no longer have anything in common with me due to my lack of interest in a lot of the newer series. Homestuck-ers (or whatever they’re called) are just too intense for me even though I do enjoy the silly little comic. A lot of my DC friends are no longer my friends because of differences in opinion regarding the reboot. And the Supernatural fandom is just mean. I have only known LITERALLY SIX PEOEPLE who enjoy the show on the same level I do that are not rabid and/or cruel.
It just seems like I don’t fit with any of the fandoms lately. My opinions are usually ignored or flamed into infinite by hellfire.
WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO ALL TRUE GEEKS JUST BEING HAPPY TO BE GEEKS WITH OTHER GEEKS? CAN ANYONE ELSE REMEMBER THE DAYS WHERE THERE WEREN’T ANY SHIPPING WARS? OR WHEN SAYING YOU DIDN’T LIKE A CHARACTER WAS OKAY IF YOU HAD DECENT REASONS?
WHY HAS EVERYTHING TURNED INTO PEOPLE BEING RABID AND MEAN?
It just doesn’t make any sense…

I just finished watching the final episode of the first Sherlock season. WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?! YOU GIVE US MORIARTY AND THEN JUST END IT LIKE THAT?!?! NOT FAIR AT ALL MR. MOFFAT!
On the other hand, Moriarty is so psychotic that I am giddy with joy. Can I have an enemy like that? Please? I have a Watson to my Sherlock, but I do need a Moriarty ever so much.
